And GOD I have fun. Though even for this chance, I see a line-full of better Pop'n Music players that they are like SpiritSnare and Rokujou. O_< (A Miku 2P and Nanashi players) So I havn't got a chance to play Pop'n longer.

Okay. I am either pretty rusty or either trying new techiques like doing witih one-hand or use the Earthquake and "Sugu"-something ojamas. *Points to the Beatrock 3 screenshot*

I also flunked Suisei-Rave when I actually have fun with the chart. Also for SigSig, which I did a fanart that reflects my defeat... With a chibi Sigsig.

Oh well. I am in the rain of EPIC FAIL. :V

My own top 10 list, with blackjack and hookers

Actually I have shit luck and no use for hookers.

But you can't deny that my list has ten items, even though I cut out the plastic guitar games.

10. The Topo fight in Brave Fencer Musashi. Probably my second experience with rhythm gaming; it's better than your faggot american guitar hero

9. Pump it Up, coming from Korea, practically has a home field advantage in Mexico and other third world countries. But don't let that scare you away; five arrows is actually pretty fun, and you seem to have to move your body a lot more than in DDR. Sadly, the golden age of DDR vs Pump drama has long since passed and now all we're left with is Banya and the Korean BoA and Wero. Which is good enough for Pump to hold on to #9.

8. Frequency was my first glimpse of Harmonix's hot shit. I thought I was pretty special, but nowadays everyone's looking at Harmonix's hot shit and this unique snowflake has melted into just another drop in the pool.

Sigh. You know it makes me sick to be on that list

but I should have thought of that before we kissed

7. Parappa the Rapper was groundbreaking and pretty much created the genre. He also paved the way for all other white rappers. That said, I never figured out why I was getting boo'd half the time, nor did I ever figure out how the hell the game determined if you were bullshitting hard enough to attain "Cool" status. Also, it was short - I half suspect that having bullshit timing wasn't so much a flaw as a ploy to make the game longer. I know that I spend twice the time baking cakes than I do on the entire rest of the game.

Not that that's a terrible thing because the cake song is REAL and not a lie like today's cakes. Remind me to punch portal in the cunt, though its cunt is probably a portal, the other side of which is between my legs. FUCK.

6. Beatmania got upstaged by IIDX's "lights" and "graphics" and "listenable music," but it has more songs by shigesato itoi than IIDX does. What does IIDX have? Taka? Yeah, nice one IIDX.

5. DDR before it jumped the shark. Unfortunately that jump was a freeze arrow and it's still going 4 years later but since we're apparently near water (what with the shark and all) maybe shock arrows will put us our of our misery.

4. I imagine drummania AC would be up here somewhere. CS intrigued me, but I was faced with a dilemma that I also confronted with Pop'n - if I was going to keep playing this game it would have to be with an ASC, and with drummania it just wasn't feasible.

3. Um Jammer Lammy is a tough one to chose over Parappa. On one hand it had over twice as much content and is for some reason much less frustrating. On the other hand, half the music lacks the charm that made Parappa such a cool thing when it came out. It's even more glaringly obvious when you're playing as Parappa, since they used the same basic songs and threw a rap and some mediocre beats on top of the original.

It came down to rock > rap.

2. Pop'n Music was, paradoxically, the music game I got made fun of the least for playing. Maybe my friends and family thought I'd cry like a five year old girl, and the possibility that that's what they really thought of me made me cry like a five year old girl.`-`

Then I took my rage out by playing some of the hardest shit to the weirdest music on the biggest video game controller I've ever owned. Then I felt sugoi again ^-^

1. Beatmania IIDX: meg's tits, a flat alien chick, lilith's tits, dolce, sakura's tit's and sword. Long story short it's a melodic version of space invaders.

Yeah I can't believe I wrote this entry either.

SYNTHESIZED album review (Disc Two Only)

Ok, I’ll go to the remix album! Disc 2!

1. Do It Right -ElekNekoTronika Mix- (remixed by Nekomata Master)

At first, I LOLed that Nekomata Master will remix one of my favorite Sota songs on DDR. But I was amazed on this remix. It sounds chilly while keeping the funky feel of the original.

9/10

2. together 4 ever -NORTHERN TRANHOUSE MIX- (remixed by TOMOSUKE)

The beginning was bad, But it turns out to be one of the best remixes on this album. It flows very well from section to section. I love what Tomosuke did to Yoshiko’s vocals.

10/10

3. with you - X-Sota Mix-(remixed by good-cool)

It still respects the original jazz feel of with you with more good-cool groove. The rap sample and the foreign language sample is a plus on this song.

9/10

4. Back Into The Light -Special ThanXXX RMX- (remixed by dj TAKA)

I’m amazed on the style dj TAKA has made on this song. But the only annoying thing here is that the vocals change in volume every time you here the vocals. 8.5/10

5. Rise’n Beauty -ELECTRO MIX- (remixed by SLAKE)

At first, I thought of SLAKE turning Rise’n Beauty into an Electrified style song. But it sounds like it but it turned ugly. Ugly in a good way and it doesn’t sound like Rise’n Beauty at all. Everything about this remix is just plain creepy but as a song of it’s own, it’s amazing. If I was SLAKE, I would retitle it as Rise’n Ugly.

9.5/10

6. Just A Little Smile -DAJI MIX- (remixed by DAJI)

I’ve never heard of Just A Little Smile. But I’m impressed on this remix. Probably my favorite DAJI song.

9/10

7. Look To The Sky -SADA’S J-Trance Vocal Mix- (remixed by SADA)

I don’t see what’s bad on this song. The beginning is epic though! Maybe because Sota had I think 5 long versions or more of Look To The Sky and it annoys some listeners. This song is is a remix of Look To The Sky Japanese Version and I’ve never heard of it and I don’t know SADA that much. But it’s good.

8.5/10

8. Cyber Force -DJ Yoshitaka Mix- (remixed by DJ Yoshitaka)

Yes! A remix of Cyber Force! And it sounds good although it reminds me of IIDX RED ending theme. The sample “S O T A” is a plus on this track. The best remix of Yoshitaka has made.

9/10

9. Neo Contra -Extra Bold Mix- (remixed by Shoichiro Hirata aka Sho-T)

Never heard of Neo Contra until I heard it on Youtube. Sota’s version is mediocore and I’m amazed on this remix. Probably this remix makes me think that this should be the original version. Amazing!

10/10

10. PSYCHE PLANET-GT (remixed by L.E.D.)

Good Psychedelic Trance remix of the original song. I love the vocal samples included in this song and that Neo Rave melody. Masterpiece.

10/10

11. Spring Comes Around -In Like A Lion- (remixed by wac)

Ooooh wac! It’s so cute! Very cute! Nothing to say more but cuteness!

Lovely cuddlecore .djw song!

9/10

12. Battle Train -HOT SOTA MIX-B (remixed by Akira Yamaoka)

Another Shin Contra(Neo Contra) song after hearing it on Youtube, I’m shocked that Akira will remix a trance song. It sounds like Akira Yamaoka was in charge of the OST of Shin Contra. Awesome!

9.5/10

13. The Hope of Tommorow -Ryu* Remix- (remixed by Ryu*)

Ryu* undergoes Seiryu* on this one. Generic Ryu* style and making this song fast and changing the voice pitch of the vocals. It somewhat reminds me of K.O.G3 mix songs from DDR.

9/10

14. Run To You -kors k mix-

Yes! An epic remix! I love 2 step in general and kors k’s 2 step style amazed me since this is the first time I’ve heard kors k made a 2 step. It’s relaxing and cool due to certain glitches. Very Good kors k!

10/10

15. Rising Sun -100% Jupiter Eight Mix- (remixed by AIKO)

AIKO is a newcomer and Sota’s friend. Sota’s version is kinda boring to me. It’s nice to come up with an ambient finale on the remix album. The sounds that the Jupiter Eight synthesizer plays already amazed me as well as the BASS of this song. I loled at the end where AIKO just played with the synthesizer until the song fades. Epic remix and AIKO should go make songs for beatmania IIDX.

9.5/10

Overall? It’s very good and one of the best remix albums to date. 10/10

Got taken over and sent some to heaven
What was going on, man, no one knew
Didn't have a clue about what to do
After about ten minutes passed
My mom ran in and woke me up fast
"A plane just hit Trade Center One"
Out of bed, I get up and run
Flip on the TV, and what do I see?
The second plane hit, while watching channel three
Or was it channel four? Does it matter anymore?
What really matters is it's act of war
Reasons that be, I can't understand
All I know is 19 angry men
Went and took four of our planes
Once within, they went insane
Tried to take out the financial center
Did she never get the message that was sent her?
In a few short minutes, thousands lost
Their lives at a very substantial cost
A nation divided? United it stood tall
Because that red white and blue will never fall

SYTNTHESIZED album review (Disc One Only)

DISC ONE: Original Album

1. SYNTHESIZED
The title of the song as a title of the album is simply awesome! Get Ready To Dance once you hear this track. Great when played on Discos. Simply Epic 10/10

2. Kind Lady -2008 Extended Mix-
Well I love Kind Lady on DDR and was willing to wait for a full version and this is it. It's good but Sota could've added more vocals to this song since you'll hear like 4 minutes of instrumental of this song but it's still good. 8/10

3. I Need You -Nu Platinum Mix-
Solid Remix and a nice improvement of the original song. good vocals, good stuff. 8.5/10

4. Saturday Night Love -Phunk Disco Mix-
Nice remix of the original. The epic part of this song is when the vocals are mixed up! simply awesome!
8.5/10

5. together 4ever -Album Edit-
I love together 4 ever. But this version seems like Sota copied the intro of the game version to the first album version. nothing new here except a different ending and this song would be better if added more vocals. nevertheless great song though. 7/10

6. Look To The Sky -Cyber True Color Mix-
Despite having tons of remixes and long versions of Look To The Sky and At first, I thought this song would be like similar to those first long versions, but I was wrong... It's the same song with elements that are fresh for the Look To The Sky series. I love that rock guitar touch. Epic remake.
9.5/10

7. Back Into The Light -Feelings Won't Fade Vocal Mix-
Well, I haven't heard of Back Into The Light before but I really love playing Feelings Won't Fade in DDR. Mashing up the vocals of Back Into The Light into Feelings Won't Fade amazed me and it works well and I'm also happy that Feelings Won't Fade will have a long version and this is it... Very Good Sota!
9.5/10

8. Star Gate Heaven -Album New Mix-
At first, I thought that this track would be a waste of space in this album along with Andromeda II. But I was wrong. Sota remastered this track. I love the new intro and I haven't recognized it as Star Gate Heaven! Donna's vocals amazes me on this song. 10/10

9. The Hope of Tommorow -Extended Mix-
Simply Good. Could've added more vocals. Nothing much to say more about this.
9/10

10. Cyber Force -Extended Mix-
I have loved this song when I played it on IIDX Gold. Seeing and hearing a long version of it made me happy and I adore this long version. 9.5/10

11. minimal synthesizer
This song sounds like an intermission number on this album. Good.
8/10

12. Electrified -Album Extended-
My favorite Sota song on SN2! I'm amazed on the vocals here, Every synth of this song is very clear. It's not going in circles.... epic long version!
10/10

13. i-revolution -Album New Mix-
I've never heard of i-revo theme before... Well, this is different form the rest of the songs... This song has that relaxing feel. I can also hear samples of Cyber Force and ABSOLUTE 2007. Good theme song. 9/10

14. ANDROMEDA II -Extended Mix-
Simply good and tweaked in a good way. 8.5/10

15. State Of The Art -Album Extended-
I've never heard of State of The Art before.... But it's cool! Nice to hear Cyborg Akemi in Japanese though!
10/10

16. Fly Above -Album Extended-
Epic finalle for the album. I want to know who sang this song and I want to play this in Empress. Nothing to say more but epic.
10/10

Overall Score of Disc One? 9.5/10 :D simply because I'm on the funk and trance side of music.

Furry drama in my bemani community? Moar plz

Everyone on the internet knows that furries breed naught but drama. They breed it like bunnies. There's probably furry porn of bunnies breeding while still pregnant with drama. If you find some let me know; I'm not going to actively search for it (though I would not turn it down as I'm a curious youngster). Recent attention given to the release of Mungyodance 3 has brought the lulz to the Bemani community, where furry drama is relatively uncommon.

I haven't played Mungyodance 3, or 1 or 2. Actually, the Bemanistyle news post was the first I'd heard of the series. Which brings up an interesting question - what kind of drama did they spawn? I was tragically absent. There must have been some sort of fanbase and it must have generated some attention if the project has grown as large as it has. I mean, they have their own wiki (http://mungyodance.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page). I can't comment on how good it is or if it's really necessary, but there it is.

For what it's worth, the game itself is obviously the product of some long hours. Aside from the fact that there's reportedly several hundreds of songs in the game, there seems to be a good amount of original art and video to go with them and a few neat gameplay features (including EX Songs, which sound like Mungyodance's equivalent to songs that sound different depending on the difficulty). And while certain visual aspects almost beg for criticism, the amount of dedication is as obvious as it is admirable.

I'm not a big fan of either dance games or furry art, but I don't harbor any resentment towards them (their fans are often another, separate matter). There may be reasons to distance oneself from them, but I don't think it needs to go so far as to be a hater by default.

However, I've got to question the wisdom of making a game so... furry... with the intended audience being beyond the furry community. Arguments about the nature of the fandom aside, furries are massively unpopular among a large portion of the internet. I'm trying to think of a good comparison to make - I'm stuck between comparing it to Touhou or Chou Aniki.

On the Touhou end you have the fact that the games themselves are almost completely innocent, but thanks to a sometimes seriously creepy fandom they are sometimes looked at as shmups for loliphiles. There's a difference in that Touhou spawned the occasionally creepy fandom, instead of the other way around.

On the Chou Aniki end, there's the undeniable fact that its chosen art style is a potential turnoff off a significant part of the audiance. Aniki is more "out there" in its presentation, and maybe to its benefit - sometimes, a serious WTF factor can sell. There's still the fact that the game has associated itself with a niche group that has some seriously rabid haters.

In any case, the point I'm making is that the audience's perception has the power to make or break a game. Mungyodance has already established a fanbase so it's not going to break over this, but at the same time its potential to be a big thing within the community is tragically limited. And maybe that's OK - if the makers like their game just as it is and are fine with the fans they've got, more power to 'em. The community really does benefit from original content.

At the same time, it's my opinion that we could all benefit from a more "accessible" Mungyodance - one that doesn't imply association with one group, but is more inclusive. Let furries stay, but let them be an equal part alongside other things, rather than the sole focus.

I'll end by pointing fans and those interested in the game to the Mungodance 3 thread (http://www.bemanistyle.com/forum/f11/mungyodance-3-third-rave-24786/), which has ironically been left relatively untouched by trolls, despite the fact that it's much more out of the way and hidden from staff eyes than the heavily trolled headline post (not that we've done much to help EH GUYS). Either that, or check out the official site (http://renard.teknolust.org/mgd/) and its no doubt fabulously yiffy forums.

IIDX Minis…
By David McKee (5th Dimension Dreamer)

NOTE: These stories assume that you know how the characters look. Also note that the characters will be a bit (or a lot) out of character. You may or may not like this. Don’t flame if you don’t like it. But if you have constructive criticisms or you have suggestions or don’t like something, please feel free to KINDLY point it out and I will oblige it. Enjoy. Also, these are really short. Here we go.

Chibi IIDX

One sunny afternoon, a smaller, 3 foot, childish version of Celica walks into a bright room.

“Hello everyone and welcome to chibi hour! This is the time of day where everyone and everything is nice, friendly, small, asnd enjoyable… hm?” She looks around for a second. “Hey, where is everyone?”

Just then, a childish Duel slides in with the IIDX gun seen on the DJ Troopers poster. He is about to fire it when Celica takes it away from him.

“Nah-ah-aaah.” She says in a sing-song voice.

Duel reaches for the gun. “What, gimme that back!”

Celica holds it away from him. “This is chibi hour, the time of nice enjoyable fun. Getting shot with military weaponry is neither fun nor enjoyable. Therefore, I’m afraid you’ll have to go without it for right now.” She then tosses it into a far away corner of the room. “Here.” She reaches under a table and hands him a very colorful looking water gun with nine large round circles on it. “You can play with this instead.”

Duel looks at the object. “What the heck is this?”

“It’s the Pop’n water blaster! When it’s hot outside, getting hit with small spurts of water is very fun and enjoya-“

Celica doesn’t finish that sentence because at that moment, a small… chibi, version of Xia bursts through the door with a bunch of pots and pans followed by another girl. She then runs to the table, knocking Celica over. She slams all the things she has on the table.

“Ok! Yo all you puppies’n kittins out there! Dis be ya girl, Xia and her best friend Tsugaru-chan! Ah’ll tell you wuts fun and enjoyable, cooking!!!”

Just then, chibi Nix walks in and eyes the table. “Hey wait… Xia, aren’t those your sister’s dishes?”

“Maybe, why? Wussup baybeh? Come oan in, we’s ‘bout tuh have us some food tuh eat.”

Tsugaru smalls. “I like food.”

Xia puts an arm around her. “So do Ah hunny. That’s whah we’re cookin’ today!”

Nix frowns. “Uh… I don’t think you should’ve used Nyah’s stuff. She might get angry.”

Xia smiles. “Aw hush up, boah! Now Ah know we ain’t got much tahm, so Tsu-chan and Ah have pre-prepared a little somethin’ we’d like to call Pop’n curry noodles! Here Nix, trah a bite!”

She then shoves a spoon full into Nix’s mouth before he can protest. After chewing a few bites, he smiles, then his face twists up.

“Uh… hmm… it’s good but… what’s that odd, sweet… chewy… stretchy taste?”

Tsugaru smalls and laughs. “It’s bubble gum, silly?”

Nix frowns. “… oh… I see… it’s…nice.”

Celica finally recovers from her fall and looks around.

“Ok everyone, we only have room for one more person, and that one person is my best friend and your’s too I’m sure… YUZ!!”

Suddenly, the room grows dark as if a great cloud has covered the sun. Everyone looks up in horror at what could have caused the sudden dark shadow.

“Hey guys!” a voice says, cheerfully.

A normal full-sized Yuz walks into the room and looks down at everyone.

“Hm?” Celica looks at him with a bit of confusion on her face.

Yuz looks down at them. “What?”

Don’t flame if you don’t like it. But if you have constructive criticisms or you have suggestsions or don’t like something, please feel free to KINDLY point it out and I will oblige it. Enjoy. Also, these are really short. Here we go.

Planet IIDX (1st Mix)
IIDX controllers

Oneday, Nix was walking down the street when he saw Xia waiting for the bus. She then noticed him and called him over.

“Hey! How’s it goin’!?” She asked in a sort of high, raspy voice.

“Um… ok. You?” He asked.

“Aw, das so nice uh’you to ask about ol’ Xia. So how’s it goin’, baybeh?” She asked with a big smile.

“Fine? What do you mean old? You’re younger than I am and I’m in my early twenties.” He pointed out.

“Don’t evuh question a woman’s age baybeh. Now look heeya. Ah’ve got me one uh’dem USA beatmahnia kontrolluhs. Iz duh wave of duh future ya know.” She smiled and held up the IIDX controller that comes with the USA version of the game.

Nix looked at her and frowned.

“… Those things suck.”

“No dey don’t! Remembuh when Ah toldya that everything in the future would be round? Well hee-it is. Check dat out.” She moved her hand around the rounded part of the turn table. “EEEEAAAARROOOOUUUUUNNNND!!! And…, ya don’t gotta mod’em eithuh!”

Nix looked at her and wondered if she acted like that all the time, or only when talking about IIDX.

“You know Xia, you still have to mod the turntable. And besides, on the original controllers, all you have to do is a simple key mod and you’ll be fine.”

Xia put her hands on her hips and looked at him a-matter-a-factly.

“Nuh-uh. Yuh controller’s keys was stickin’ like dat and after we modded it, they got even more sticky!”

“…That’s because you put gum under all the keys.” He pinted out.

“Well that baybeh, was so the little card board pieces wouldn’t fall outta place. See? Mah way worx! And all ya gotta do for the turntable mod is put wax papuh under it anneh ya go!”

Just then, the bus came.

“Well, dere’s mah bus. Off tuh skool Ah go! Keep in touch baybeh, and remembuh, stay flah!” She then picked up her US IIDX controller and hopped on the bus. The doors closed, and she was gone. Nix on the other hand, was left there to think over what had just happened. He looked down and sighed.

“I really need to move.”

[THE END]

Ending notes: Ok, so that was pretty corny. I know. But hey. It’s the first one, give it some time. I’ll try to make them a bit better. Now you see what I mean when I throw them out of character. I’m sorry Xia fans, but when I looked at her picture and also saw her on the Happy Sky box looking all happy like that, that’s how I imagined her acting… around IIDX. We haven’t seen her without IIDX yet so don’t worry. She might not always be like that.

I'm bored. And you know trips to any arcade with working Pop'n Music machines will take a while... (And can't bug my mom everyday... Plus I can take the bus there... But need her permision. :V)

And my brain wants more Pop'n juice... But new songs come every Wendsday/Thurday in the Land of hte Pop'n-sun. (Other words: Japan)

So... Does anyone ever done any creative Pop'n song remixes? (I kinda asked SleeplessDragn @ FFR (don't worry. We are friends. XD) for happy Otome Rumba remix if possible.)

So far we "herd" Elegoth Remix, Spy Remix, and then you can't forget Jig remix. (Though it's no different.) Also arise for a HipRock remix.

Fuu... Now if I can listen to them in high-quality, then I can be a happy camper...

Finaly my mom and uncle gave me a "okay" to drop me off to Arcade Infinity. Meanwhile i'm uploading my ghetto 66k SPARK N gameplay (because no one plays this song), here are my better scores on screenshots...

Image: http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a342/kyubi_chan/62208/th_chibikko94k.jpg (http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a342/kyubi_chan/62208/chibikko94k.jpg)
94k Chibikko Idol! Ha! Beat that! XP

You can maybe tell that I want to improove so badly. So first is my timing on the easy songs. :V Well... I hope.

And here are the runner-up screenshots.

Image: http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a342/kyubi_chan/62208/th_arockN92k.jpg (http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a342/kyubi_chan/62208/arockN92k.jpg)Image: http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a342/kyubi_chan/62208/th_sfpop92k.jpg (http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a342/kyubi_chan/62208/sfpop92k.jpg)
92k Alternative Rock N and 92k SF Pop N (I missed my score shot.). All with the best of my timing. So don't make fun of me!

And the rest are...

- 90k Online Love Pop N (I wish I had that kind of score earlier)
- 90k Seisyun Rock N
- 87k UK Hit Chart N. (That is still a 25 in Adventure. But it's still a fun "hard" chart for Normal.)
- 85k Orbitalic Techno N
- 65k Enka Remix N (And that hurt!)

- 88k Boys R&B H (and it's still a sweet song.)
- 79k Alternative Rock H. :V

Well, bye bye and stay tuned!
